TORLAB Patch Test Allergens
Patch testing is a diagnostic tool able to differentiate allergic contact dermatitis
from other skin disorders and to identify the relevant allergen.
TROLAB patch test allergens have always been developed, revised and produced according to the recommendations
of the International Contact Dermatitis Research Group (ICDRG) and the European Environmental and
Contact Dermatitis Research Group (EECDRG). Their many years of experience have helped us to select the test
substances and determine test concentrations and test vehicles, so that generally the test allergens do not
trigger toxic reactions, whilst allergic ones can be induced.
Today we add new test allergens to the TROLAB programme only if concentrations and vehicles have been proven and
confirmed in clinical trials.
The patch test is considerably facilitated and its results become more reliable using standardised test substances
of controlled quality. TROLAB allergens are registered as medicines in Germany and they are produced in accordance
with the WHO guideline of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
The TROLAB patch test program consists of about 266 test allergens.
